The TV had just finished showing a frightening thriller on their next episode of Incredible Tales 2! My bro and I were somewhat chilled by the thriller.
Out of the corners of our eyes, a figure dressed in white, with long willowy hair draping over the shoulders, slowly.., slowly.., walked past our door.., out of the toilet, with a brush in hand. Both of us were seized with a split moment of disbelief and terror.
Silence reigned in the room as we straightened our thoughts on what we had just seen. Finally both of us burst out laughing, shaking our heads at the coincidence of the two events.
After our fill of laughters, mom was given a stern warning never to walk out of her bath with hair in that state at night.
What a pair of scardy cats!

On the last Monday of July, my idiotic bum and his brother went on a walk at Bukit Timah. They started off with a climb up the main road to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill.
My bum was looking out for flying lemur but all he could see were the majestic trees that shot straight up reaching for the sky. It was an enjoyable time. Not even the threatening clouds and thunder could damper their spirits. And the photo below marked my uncle’s victory of his maiden climb up the summit.

Instead of the main road, they took the flights of steps down. It took them considerable effort and time as the steps were quite tall and they were safety conscious. I could imagine two barrels rolling all the way down the hill if they slipped and fall.
See the fungus poking through the dried leaf. So cute! The photo was taken while coming down the steps.

Do you know why they went to walk? It was because that bum brought home news of overwhelming ripe rambutans all along Rifle Range Road and lacking some childhood experience, they decided to try their luck at picking rambutans.
With their chanting of “Ram..bu..tans! Ram..bu..tans!” They then set off to Durian Loop via the Catchment Path and the Pipelines. Just before they entered Durian Loop, they encountered two trees with ripe rambutans at a deceiving near distance above them. Using sticks they could find, they tried their shooting skills. But alas with 15 minutes of hard effort, they could only stare helplessly and hopelessly at the rambutans and so they decided to leave these rambutans for the monkeys. (Bo-Bo shooters!)
Along Durian Loop, they found these cherry-like fruits growing on the trees. My Uncle even suggested that they were longans. But my bum just found out that these were figs and they grow throughout the years and were food for the creatures in the forest especially when other fruits were out of season. Look so yummy!

My Uncle found a ripe rambutan that just dropped on the ground. It was so sweet and delicious that they even more determined to get the rambutans. They decided to try the road itself. They came upon a super long pole (probably a flag pole) and they tried to whip down the rambutans with it. Through and fro they swing the pole. They either missed the rambutans or the pole were still too short. After half an hour of struggling with the pole, they only managed to pick 5 miserable rambutans and they were not even sweet at all. They were quite sour. And guess what, my bum dropped his rambutans after he peeled off the skins. Stupid clumsy fool! After sweating so much, they popped over to Bukit Timah Market for their lunch. Even though they did not really met their objective, they had a lot of fun. Next year, they say they would bring cutters on long poles.
Cecilia, off for dinner: Sal..mon.. Roe! Sal..mon.. Roe!

Hi all,
After a month of rest, I am now fully recovered. Both my paws are properly fixed and I will wear mittens now to protect my paws. See the bum even bought me a present, a Snoopy pendant for me. Actually it is a handphone accessory. That bum just re-attached a self-made band to it. But I like it a lot. But I really dislike all the other comments. I am not a dog! I am a teddy bear!

Now I am back, I will be able to write about the walks that bum did and all the other lazy and crazy stuff he did over the past few weeks.
Okay, off to my paw massage session..
