Moth Counting

Fatty News Bulletin

Last night at 10pm, a lyssa zampa flew into the grandma’s room. This is the third sighting of the moth in the house. And it is always in grandma’s room. The probable reason is that the window faces Bukit Timah Hill and the window is probably the only one opened at that time.

The evacuation operation of the moth was carried out solely by Grandma. (The bum is busy watching TV. Actually he is just too lazy to get his butt off.) The operation required a ladder (the moth was perched on the mantle) and a plastic bag (attached to a pole if out of reach). The operation was a success accompanied with a scolding for the bum for not helping!

Fatty, off to catch lunch.. singing, “Quick give me knife and fork, I want to eat steak!”…

Flying Grasshopper

At 1 am, as the bum was talking to grandma in her room, both of them noticed a flying insect near the VCR.

“No another moth again!” both cried out.

But to their surprise, it was a grasshopper. A very big one! It is about 10cm in length. What’s more, it can fly! Never in the bum’s life has he ever seen such a big one! Wonder where is his childhood?

As usual, they caught it and released it on the plants at the balcony. When the bum checked the plants in the morning, it has disappeared. Pray no bird has eaten it!

Lyssa Zampa Again!

It happened last night again! At about the same time as well, Grandma entered the room and quickly called for the calvery to get rid of Lyssa Zampa.

The bum quickly grabbed the camera and rushed over to grandma’s room. He found the moth flying haphazardly, sometimes left, sometimes right, like a car out of control. Grandma then revealed that she had just sprayed insectide around the house after she had mopped the floor. The moth probably had contacted it.

Hoping the moth can pull through, the bum quickly caught the moth with a plastic bag and brought it to the balcony for release. However the moth flew back into the living room and perched itself on the mantle. Damn! Too high for the bum to reached. All lights were then switched off, hoping the moth will be attracted to lights outside and will fly out.

After seeing slight flying movement near the baloncy, the bum switched on the lights and started to chat with Grandma in the living room. And when he slapped his hand on his hip, he felt a velvet-like feather and saw something dropped to the floor. Oh no! It’s the moth and it had flew onto the bum and the bum had nearly killed it with his hand. When he poked his fingers at the moth, the moth moved but could not fly away. Looked like it was badly injured, the legs looked crushed. The bum then moved lyssa near the balcony, hoping it would fly away later. But alas, sometime later, the moth drew its last breath and died. So sad!!

Habitat Group Briskwalkers, 19 June

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

For two Sundays in the month of June, the forest fairies appeared and showed the public the joy of briskwalking in nature. They led them down the path from MacRitchie to Rifle Range Road and finally all the way up to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill. The fairies may have cast too strongly a spell on the public. The fastest of them even managed to reach the summit in the time of an hour twenty-four minutes. All the fairies had a wonderful time and they hope those that joined, had enjoy themselves too.

A beautiful morning to walk! And to enjoy nature!

Waiting for My Mittens

Hi all

Thank you for all the well wishes. I am recovering well after 6 days of rest. Still getting used to the the new hand. It is stiffer and slightly smaller as that bum has given a wider leeway from the edge when he sewed because he was worried that the mohair will fray when he resewed the same mohair. It is also a slightly different colour from my left hand. Can’t help it. Colour of my left has started to pale. But see my hand before and after operation!

The Good Hand!

The Bad Hand! See the plasters!

Now I am waiting for my mittens that hopefully will further protect my paws. Once I get my mittens, I will go beat up that idiotic bum just for the fun sake of it. Well! Now I have recovered, I will continue the blog.

Hope you will have a nice time with me!

Operation Pawpad Replacement A Success!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Fattty News Bulletin

The two day long operation to replace Cecilia’s paw pad concluded with a loving hug success. The operation is the first of the kind in the teddy bear household of that bum. The operation required taking out the arm, ripping up the threads to detach the damaged paw pad, sewing back every piece again and finally the arm was attached back to the body. The risk is double as any damage made to the original mohair of the arm will render Cecilia forever single armed as the Mohair Bank has run out of mohair of Cecilia type.

All teddy bears in the room roared into cheers when the bum declared Cecilia’s operation a success. However, the joyous, rowdy atmosphere was silenced by an angry growl from Cecilia demanding her quiet recovery sleep. When the bum was interviewd on what made the operation a success, he replied,”Lots of love, heart and care.”

Cecilia Hospitalised

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Fatty News Bulletin

Due to Cecilia’s excessive beating of that bum, two large holes appeared in the right paw of Cecilia. Plaster was administrated imediatedly to plug the holes in prevention of the fillings coming out. She is also imediately hospitalised. The whole family are devastated by the news and that bum is currently overcome by grief. The medical board (bum) after long consideration, has decided to operate the hand without further ado. The operation will involve taking apart the hand and replacing the entire paw pad. The operation will estimate to last for two days and in the meantime various teddies will cover the place for Cecilia.

Also the Teddy Bears in the bum’s shelf has passed the law requiring all teddy bears who beat the bum to be issued with mittens. The bum is given a month to comply from today.

That’s all for now. Signing off.
